What is recruitment?

Recruitment for aKDPhi takes place during the first couple weeks of the new school semester where the sisters organize various events for girls interested in joining a sorority. The period of recruitment is to see whether or not going greek with aKDPhi is something that interests you. It's a time to meet and have fun with the sisters and learn what our sisterhood is about. Our events are not mandatory and everything is free!

Will being in a sorority affect my grades?
-
We are all in college for the purpose of education. Academic excellence is very important to us and a minimum GPA is required of all sisters. In many ways, joining alpha Kappa Delta Phi can be beneficial to your grades. The house is filled with years of academic experience from sisters past and present. Think of it as your own personal college experience database. Our sisters' high GPA's and our successful alumnae show our continuous dedication to education, as well as motivation to strive higher!

Do I have to attend all recruitment events?
-
Definitely not! In order to receive an interview, you must attend 2 events and 1 general interest meeting. However, it is recommended and encouraged to attend as many events as possible, since recruitment is an important time where you can ask questions about the sorority and get to know the sisters. It also gives us a chance to learn more about you too!
